ARGO TRACTORS & ACTIA: telematics and remote diagnostics in tractors are a fact

ARGO Tractors and ACTIA, are working together to implement remote diagnostics and telematics in tractors. Together, they have developed strategies and technological content for more innovative and sustainable agriculture.

ARGO Tractors is a family-run multinational company, leader in the production of Landini, McCormick and Valpadana tractors.
ACTIA is the market leader in diagnostics and on-board electronics for the automotive industry.

Decisive information available in real time

Via the “Landini Fleet Management” and “McCormick Fleet Management” web portals developed in coordination with ACTIA, fleet managers can access information about the farm machinery fleet and check their operational status. The information is collected in real time by the ACTIA TGU-R telematics ECU. It is made available on the secure cloud.
This gives the manager control of decisive information on the activities and performance of the machinery.

This is made possible thanks to real-time assistance of certain key parameters such as:
– geotracking,
– consumption,
– levels,
– temperatures,
– and work sessions.

Remote Diagnostics Support for Preventive Maintenance and Rapid Interventions

Accurate data analysis allows for the optimisation of management costs and increased productivity. The data covers working times as well as daily statistics on vehicle consumption by:

  • – tractor,
  • – type of operation,
  • – operator,
  • – field,
  • – crop and analysis of time idle.

With detection of environmental parameters and alarms, the telematics portal provides an initial offer for remote diagnosis assistance to prevent vehicle failures. In addition, if an anomaly is confirmed, the telediagnostics function will authorise the remote diagnostics tool to connect with the vehicle to ensure rapid intervention in the event of machine shut-down. Thanks to its efficient schedule management of the maintenance plan, this function allows for savings in operation management.

Thanks to ACTIA’s experience in telematics and telediagnostics, these solutions provide ARGO TRACTORS with the benefits of the synergy of these two worlds, conferring a high added technological value to its tractors.
